AOL Users: Be sure you are getting
full-quality pictures!
If you have upgraded your AOL software recently,
you may need to set the AOL properties to "Never Compress
Graphics". Please check this every time you upgrade
AOL.
AOL version 9:
- Select the menu that says Settings on the top of your screen.
- Use Settings:Essentials, then select Internet Properties
- Select AOL Browser tab, then click on Never Compress Graphics
- You will need to log off AOL, close
the AOL software and then restart AOL to see a difference.
AOL versions 6, 7 and 8:
- Select the menu that says Settings on the top of your screen.
- Under this menu, select Preferences
- Select Internet Properties (WWW)
- Select Web Graphics tab, then click on Never Compress Graphics
- You will need to log off AOL, close
the AOL software and then restart AOL to see a difference.
AOL versions 4 and 5:
- From the My AOL menu on the AOL
toolbar, click Preferences.
(AOL version 3, start with Members/Preferences)
- In the Preferences window, click WWW.
- Select Web Graphics tab. Make sure Use compressed
graphics is not checked.
ALL VERSIONS:
to see the improvement, clear your
browser's cache before proceeding:
- In the Preferences window, click WWW.
- Select the General tab. Click on delete
files, then click OK (twice).
- You will probably need to log off AOL,
close the AOL software and then restart AOL and log in again. You may
also need to shutdown and restart your computer to see the improvement.
